ABOUT

Elisha Tawe (b. Yaoundé, Cameroon) is an artist, filmmaker and writer. His active inquiries into the impacts of the physical and digital realms on the internal worlds of African people and our diaspora manifest most frequently as poems, essays and moving image experiments. Through his interrogations of private and collective memories Elisha attempts to unravel and document the mechanics of Black life in the 21st century.

Elisha has served as the Black Culture Editor at Trippin World, Cultural Producer at Beyond The Box and Culture Editor at A2.O Magazine. He has worked across film production, direction, arts programming and editorial writing.  He has presented moving image projects at IDFA (Netherlands) and PitchBlack (New York). His work has been featured on international platforms such as Apple TV, Boy. Brother. Friend, Dazed, Wallpaper, Cultured and Spike Art. He is currently a Black Public Media BPM+ Immersive Film Fellow.
